FAQ

How do I find out when the photo was taken?
The first six digits of the stock number indicate the date it was taken. We number our images as if you were reading the date as Year/Month/Day. All you need to do is look at the sixth digit in the stock number and read it backwards. For example- Stock image 0408-1201-55 Was taken on the 12/08/2004

Will the image I purchase look the same as it does on the website?
The images on our site are low- resolution examples. Your digital file or print will be higher in quality and clarity. Keep in mind when choosing your print that any image dated pre June 2003 is a scanned film negative, and may not enlarge as clearly as the later high resolution digital files. See question above regarding when photo was taken.

I can’t find what I am looking for! Do you have any more photos?
Yes. We have thousands of shots, waiting to be put onto our website, which is updated everyday. If you can’t find what you are after email us at info@airviewonline.com.au and we will search our most recent stock for the image.

Do you offer custom aerial photography?
Yes, we do offer custom photography. We offer our services all over Australia and New Zealand. Please see Airview Aerial Photography or email info@airviewonline.com.au to learn more about this service.

How big can the photos be printed?
Photos from a single image frame can be enlarged up to 1 metre long if needed. There is a process called interpolation, which will allow the image to be printed at a larger size. Please enquire for this service.

What resolution are the digital files?
The website/ presentation image has been set up as a low 72 DPI at 12x 8 inches. A high resolution image suitable for printing is 300 DPI at 12 x 8 inches. They are approximately 4-5 mb in size.

Do you offer framing?
No, we no longer offer framing with our service.
